RLTY, a leading metaverse platform, has announced a partnership with renowned auction house Sotheby’s to host the first-ever NFT auction within the metaverse.
The immersive event is set to take place during the upcoming 4th edition of Paris Blockchain Week from 20-24 March 2023 in Paris, le Carrousel du Louvre. It will feature a live auction of NFTs within the RLTY World metaverse, showcasing digital works from top artists such as Beeple, Julien Rivoire and Brinkman.
This groundbreaking collaboration marks a significant milestone for the NFT market, demonstrating virtual assets’ growing interest and potential within the art world. RLTY’s metaverse platform allows collectors and art enthusiasts to participate in the auction in a unique and immersive way, creating a new dimension to the traditional auction experience.

The fine arts company hosts more than 600 auctions annually and offers a diverse selection of items that can be purchased through both physical stores and online channels, as well as private sales. The event will be divided into four stages and will broadcast live panel discussions, debates and keynote speeches during Paris Blockchain Week. The event’s main speakers are distinguished individuals from the digital industry, such as Jean-Noël Barrot, the Minister for Digital Transformation and Telecommunications of France. Other notable speakers include Steve Huffman, co-founder of Reddit, and Nasdaq’s Senior Vice President, Ira Auerbach.
